The restriction on the number of K-ETA applications due to repetitive application
Due to repeated re-submission of applications, assessment for K-ETA application gets delayed.
To prevent inconvenience for other applicants, the number to re-apply for K-ETA is restricted. (Applied from July 12, 2022)
If applicants applied for K-ETA 3 times and more in the past 6 months, they can re-apply for K-ETA after 6 months from the date of the result of first application is notified.
- However, this policy does not apply to the re-application caused by incorrect personal information (e.g. passport number, name, date of birth, gender, nationality, photo etc.).
※ For example, if assessment of first application is completed on May 23, 2022 and K-ETA application is rejected more than 3 times in the past 6 months, the applicants cannot re-apply for K-ETA until November 23, 2022.
Please take note of the information above to avoid any disadvantages.
Applicants who wish to enter Korea during the restriction period, need to apply for a visa at a nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate.
